Atticus Finch
Atticus Finch is a character in the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird". He is the father of Jean Louise Finch (Scout) and Jem Finch as well as a lawyer. Atticus is introduced as a pacifist and remains one for the entirety of the novel. Atticus acts as a voice of reason for multiple characters. He always remains calm and keeps his cool. on page seven of to kill a mocking bird it stated that Atticus had a wife that died when scout was 2 years old by a heart attack in the book. The book To kill a mocking bird also stated that Atticus was a sharp shooter. on page 125-126 it showed that Atticus shot a dog and took off his glasses. that states that Atticus is racist, I say that because he was basically shooting racism but he didn't want to see it. this is a big part in the book because it truly shows how racist Atticus really is. One more fact to say about Atticus Finch is that he is in the Ku Klux Klan also known as the K.K.K. I say that because one page it said that there was people trying to hurt him that where in a gang. Tom Robinson The next character I chose from the novel is Tom Robinson. I chose Tom Robinson because he plays a really big part in to kill a mockingbird. The character is a black person who was charged for rap of a white girl( Mr. Ewell's daughter) Their was a big part in the book about the court house and something really bad happened. unfortunately he was guilty and later on gets shot 17 times for trying to escape prison. Tom Robinson has a wife that was vary sad to hear what happened to him. Boo Radley The last character I chose from the novel to kill a mocking bird is Boo Radley. I chose Boo Radley Because he plays a big part. he is known as a phantom of the novel, no one really knows who he looks like or if he really exists. all the characters in the novel know not to go their and he stabbed his father with a pair of scissors when he was cutting a news paper. later on in the novel Scout and Jem got attacked by Bob Ewell but then Boo Radley came in and stabbed bob. bob then dies and boo is left to carry Jem with his broken arm home to Atticus' house. |
